About
Shannon McCarthy is the Managing Attorney of McCarthy Legal, PLLC, and practices law related to civil litigation, commercial/contractual disputes, personal injury, business law, and estate planning.
Shannon is an Idaho native and has been in the legal field for over 15 years, starting out as a paralegal, before attending law school as part of the inaugural class of Concordia University School of Law in 2012. Shannon continued to work as a paralegal throughout law school until obtaining her limited license to practice law, and ultimately passing the bar.
Because Shannon is deeply passionate about helping children and families in need, Shannon completed the guardian ad litem training for Family Advocates, and since obtaining her juris doctor, she provides pro bono legal representation of guardians ad litem in Ada County child protection cases. In June 2019, Shannon was selected to serve on the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act’s Citizen Review Panel for the Fourth District of Idaho; Shannon continues to serve on this panel to effectuate legislative policies that better protect Idaho’s at-risk youth.
